RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Payment

No payment is necessary at the moment of online reservation..
Payment for the rental service is required at the end of the rental period, when the car is returned to the rental location.
Payment may be with a major credit card or cash. In the case of cash payment, the client must leave a security deposit of € 1.000,00. The price rate is guaranteed for the course of the rental from the time of pick-up to the time of drop-off, for a maximum of 365 days from the day that the rental begun.

2. Taxes

All prices indicated include the added-value tax (VAT) of 20% unless otherwise specified.

3. Fuel

The cost of fuel is the clients responsibility. If the vehicle is furnished with a full tank of fuel when the client picks it up, and returned with less fuel in the tank the client must pay for the fuel required to fill the tank, as well as a refueling fee of € 15,00.

4. Minimum age to have rental access

23 years old, with a category B license which the renter has had in their possession for at least one year. It is possible for persons at least 21 years of age and with a license of category B/C/K to rent but they must pay an additional supplementary fee of € 15,00 per day.

5. Additional driver

The rented vehicle may be driver by a person other than the one who has stipulated the contract by payin a supplementary fee of € 3,00 per day. The client must comunicate this eventuality to the rental agency and give the name of the person who may also drive the vehicle, assuming the legal responsibility detailed in article 116 paragraph 12 of the "Codice della Strada" (Italian Motor vehicle code of the Street) (D.L.285/92) regarding allowing person without a driver's license to drive.

6. Theft protection (TP)

Theft protection is mandatory in Italy is automatically included in the rental. TP limits your financial liability with respect ot RentCar Booking, for the cost of repair or replacement of the RentCar Booking vehicle as well as its parts and acessories, in the event of theft or loss of the vehicle during the course of the rental, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

TP non-waivable excess
All rentals are subject to a non-waivable excess fee, which varies depending on the vehicle group rented, for which the client is responsible in case of loss or theft of the RentCar Booking vehicle during the rental.

7. Super Theft protection (STP)

Super Theft Protection is an optional insurance.
Super TP relieves the customer from loss or damage to the RentCar Booking vehicle, its parts and accesories due to a theft, attempted theft or vandalism.

8. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

The Collision Damage Waiver (automatically included in the rental contract) limits your financial liability for damage to the RentCar Booking vehicle, its parts and accessories, for causes other than theft, attempted theft or vandalism, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

CDW Non-Waivable Excess.
All rentals are subject to a non-waivable excess which varies depending on the class of vehicle rented, for which the clienti s responsible in the event of damage to the RentCar Booking vehicle during the rental.
It is possibile for the client to further reduce their excess liability - Please see Super CDW for more details.

9. Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)

Super CDW is an additional protection to waive the already limited liability in case of damage to RentCar Booking vehicle, with concommitant elimination of the waiveable fees. The Super CDW option does not cover theft, windscreen, undercoating or tire damage, nor vandalism.

10. Pick-up and Drop-off

A supplementary fee of € 13,00 in urban areas in which there is a rental office, and € 1,00 per Km for areas outside the city.
For drop offs after the business hours of the rental agency, it is necessary to pay an additional fee of € 28,00.
The business hours of the agencies are the following:
Airport 8.30am - 10.30pm, Tourist location 8.30am - 1pm, 4pm - 7pm

11. Substitution

RentCar Booking withholds the right to make the decision whether or not to furnish the client with a replacement vehicle, regardless of the reasons for the which a substitute is needed.

12. Extension of the rental period

If the client wishes to extend the rental period beyond that agreed to at the time of rental pick up, they must immediately contact the rental office from which they took the vehicle to allow for an extension also for the insurance coverage.

13. Lost, stolen or broken keys

The loss, theft or breakage of the keys will incur a penalty of € 186,00.

14. Child safety seat

The cost for the whole rental period of a child safety seat is € 15,00 per seat.
